This was a really good way to make cranberries. It was easy and tasted complicated! If you love cranberry compote, try this one!

This recipe was liked by all, but I thought it was a little too citrus-y. I think next time I might reduce the orange zest slightly and maybe add a little lemon zest in it's place to bring down the orange flavor.

Take a close look at the recipe. See any disparity between the ingredients and the instructions?

    Big question:
When you're done with the recipe, what do you do with the 1/4 cup of cornstarch you got out to make the compote?

At this point, I've tried it with one tablespoon of cornstarch. It seemed a little runny. I've tried it with 1/4 cup of cornstarch. Definitely not runny; tasted a little cornstarchy.

Anyone know what the correct amount would be?

Both ways, it still tasted good, actually.

    Thanks!

I thought this recipe did very well with my family. We had it on Thanksgiving and everyone really seemed to enjoy it with the turkey. Even though it was very good, I would recomend it for Christmas instead because it has a really strong and distinct orange flavor. If you don't like all the orange in it, lay off of the zest (it adds a lot!

The orange zest and the orange juice lend a wonderful flavor... Just needed alittle more sweetening..But, otherwise, superb!! Why did I buy the canned cranberry sauce, all these years??
