These onion rings were OFF the HOOK!!!!!!!!! :D Seriously! Top notch- the only problem we had was getting the batter to stick really well so it would have a thick, crispy crust. The crust came out thin and even missing in some areas, but they were still really good! We used vidalia onions and put them on burgers topped with guacamole~ It was a party for the mouth!

After reading all the other comments i had to try this. it really was easy, a little messy but they are really good. My 3 year old daughter and i could not wait for the rest of the food to finish before we tasted the o-rings. I will be using this recipe for years to come.

Man oh Man! I have never made o-rings before & these really were phenominal!!!!
I used mayo, ketchup, chili powder, and cyanne powder for a zesty sauce. Delicious!

I've tried a lot of the onion ring recipe's on here and this one has been the best. Even with double dipping before frying, the batter doesn't get too thick on the ring. Next time, I think we'll use either more hot sauce or switch to a chili sauce like we use when we make chinese food. We REALLY like it spicy!

Simply the best. I used soy milk, but otherwise made the recipe as is. The tobasco didn't make them too hot, just tasty. Emeril's Essence made them better. I don't think I will ever order Onion Rings out again. I love you Emeril!

This recipe is simply awesome. We were able to use gluten free ingredients to make those and they turned out to be absolutely amazing.

    Thanks Emeril!

This recipe ROCKS! But then again what does one expect from Emeril?? I rarely make onion rings due to the BLAH factor.. But this recipe is great, I followed it to a T and it came out great? everyone enjoyed them! These are a definite repeat in our house!

These are hands down the best onion rings I have ever had. They are crispy without the batter being too thick, and the hot sauce and essence give it the perfect flavor that's not too overpowering.
