The taste was good but the meat was well-done, not medium rare. I should have used a meat thermometer. I had a feeling 450 deg for a whole hr was too long and that assumption was correct. Bummer.

I made this recipe last year for Christmas! I've never made a dinner like this before and was informed this was to be a tradition! This recipe was easy to follow and easy to prep. It was a little spicy for the kids but I will definitely be making this again this year! Thanks Emril...you make all of us amateurs look like world renown chefs with this recipe!

I tried this recipe last night for myself and my roommate and their is nothing else that can describe it beside awesome. The meat staied tender and to my surprise the potatoes and carrots had a really nice flavor as well as the esence I thought it would be really spicy but it wasn't just a really easy awesome recipe

I was always a little scared to cook Prime Rib because all my family said that it was so difficult. Well the is not true! This was so easy and it turned out GREAT! Everyone raved about it at Christmas and My husband has already requested it again. He doesn't usually request dinners unless they are really good!

    Thanks Emeril!!!!!!!

I made this recipe for a romantic dinner with my husband. It could not have been easier or more delicious. Better than any prime rib I've eaten at a restaurant. This is a must for garlic lovers.
