This was absolutely delicious! Better than any cookie cake you can ever find in the store and very easy to make. However, I had 4 hershey's chocolate bars that I wanted to get rid of, so instead of using the chocolate and nuts listed on the recipe, I put the chocolate bars in the food processor, pulsed them several times until broken up (have to be careful so you don't get a chocolate powder and used that instead. I had a 13" pizza pan and it was ready in about 15 minutes. I also used Betty Crocker icing with the decorator tips to make a design on it. It turned out to be absolutely delicious.Everyone ate it right up! I will definitely use this in the future instead of buying cookie cakes and I am looking forward to using the recipe to make regular cookies!

I made this as a birthday cake. I didn't use any of the nuts. I only had a 12 in. pizza pan so my cooking time was shorter. I decorated it with gel icing. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it.

Whether as a decorated cake, or individual drop cookies, this recipe is a hit. For those who might think its not cooked through, it's not worth overcooking. If you use the right size pan, go with the time Emeril suggests. Once it cools, it will harden to remain intact, yet still be oh so moist and soft!

These are the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever tasted in my life. It's rich, satisfyingly crunchy and soft, and has just the right sweetness. I brought it to a christmas party and it was gone by the first third of the party. (well, I also couldn't resist eating some before I brought it.
You will not be disappointed, I promise. When you eat it while it's warm, the chocolate oozes, the nuts give you that gentle crunch... The macadamia nuts were my favorite part.
I made this in normal-sized cookies, but next time I'll make a cookie cake. Boy, I can't wait -- a giant cookie from heaven, haha! Other than that, I followed this recipe exactly.
If a very meticulous 12 year old can make it, so can anybody else. Thanks Emeril!

I have baked and eaten many chocolate chip cookies, and this is the best recipe. I'm sure the recipe is fine as is, but I always modify a little.

Less butter doesn't take away the great butter taste. Try 1 1/2 sticks instead of 2.
Add cinnamon instead of all vanilla. Try 1 t vanilla and 1/2 t cinnamon.

The cookie dough itself was great, but it did not cook all the way through and then it fell apart. I followed the directions exactly, next time I would use a 9 x 13 glass dish to cook it in. I was dissapointed because I thought it would be really good.
