I first saw this YEARS ago and let me just say that it is STILL a hit at pot lucks and parties! The best thing to do for get-togethers is to make little packets (like kids birthday parties with the twisty tie on top and it helps friends to "moderate" themselves. Nearly ten years (I saw the episode when it first aired and it's by far my favorite party pleaser....a little messy, but finger-lickin' delicious! The trick to the recipe is that it's quick...no need to leave it in the pot to let it "melt" further...that only makes it clump up...keep it syruppy people!

We liked the taste of this, but the appearance and crumbliness left a little to be desired. The flavors are great, but I can't rate it a five due to the difficulty in eating it and the fact that my granddaughter wouldn't even try it since she thought it looked "yucky." I did end up adding a little cream per another reviewer's suggestion and that helped the consistency of the chocolate mixture. Even with that, it was still difficult to mix in with the cereal. I too had a lot of little pieces which I will use to sprinkle on future desserts.

This is a super after school snack. I made it for my Grandchildern and they just could not get enough. Of course any recipe of Emeril that I make they just go wild over. What can I say he is just super.
