    I first saw this YEARS ago and let me just say that it is STILL a hit at pot lucks and parties! The best thing to do for get-togethers is to make little packets (like kids birthday parties with the twisty tie on top and it helps friends to "moderate" themselves. Nearly ten years (I saw the episode when it first aired and it's by far my favorite party pleaser....a little messy, but finger-lickin' delicious! The trick to the recipe is that it's quick...no need to leave it in the pot to let it "melt" further...that only makes it clump up...keep it syruppy people!

    We liked the taste of this, but the appearance and crumbliness left a little to be desired. The flavors are great, but I can't rate it a five due to the difficulty in eating it and the fact that my granddaughter wouldn't even try it since she thought it looked "yucky." I did end up adding a little cream per another reviewer's suggestion and that helped the consistency of the chocolate mixture. Even with that, it was still difficult to mix in with the cereal. I too had a lot of little pieces which I will use to sprinkle on future desserts.

    This is a super after school snack. I made it for my Grandchildern and they just could not get enough. Of course any recipe of Emeril that I make they just go wild over. What can I say he is just super.

    Based on previous reviews, I decided to wait and see what specific techniques were used for this. Fully equipped with the proper techniques, I ventured forward. The main problem that I encountered was that the "cereal" lost a lot of its crispiness im the process. A side problem was that there were quite a lot of small bits produced. The solutions: (1 I took the large bits and baked them in a 300 degree oven for about 20 minutes to crisp them up; and (2 I used the small bits for a cheese cake crust. All and all, a very positive and delicious experience!

    This is a great snack, very easy AND, I had never tasted chocolate-hazelnut spread, now I'm hooked :-...in fact, the jar was empty before I made the snack and had to purchase another :-.
    I found it a little hard to mix the chocolate without breaking the cereal so next time I am going to try just 1/2 of everything. Thanks for the great recipe.

    What a delicious flavor! However, when I mixed mine together, the cereal got all smashed, so I pressed it into a greased 9x9 pan, froze it, then cut it up kinda like Rice Krispie treats.

    Like the peanut butter puppy chow, I find I like it better the next day - the flavors have time to mesh better. It needed the cream that the other reviewer suggested. I didn't have any so it was a little harder and it broke quite a few of the cereals. Next time, I will make it even better by adding chopped up toasted hazlenuts to my chocolate mixture. That will make this a 5 star for everyone.

    I was excited about this recipe because of the hazelnut element. The chocolate mix got really pretty lumpy and almost seized. I think the recipe needed a little cream to the mixture to keep the chocolate smooth. The flavor was otherwise good. The candy is a bit messy to eat with the powdered sugar and cocoa dusting!
