Our family loves this stew! It's the perfect cold weather meal... I use canned chickpeas to make it easier and we like extra lemon juice when serving it. I made this so many times last winter because it was one meal that even our 4 and 1 year old would eat! Can't wait to make it again this weekend!

Delicious! I left out the chicken and the rice and used canned chick peas, and the harira still did not seem to be lacking anything.

Totally yummy!! Made this 3 times now and didnt change a thing on the recipe. The only thing is that the chick peas dont come out very tender and I have soaked them more than 24 hours, might use canned next time.

I love this recipe! A variation is to use 7 grain pilaf instead of rice. Also use leftover rice or pilaf and canned chickpeas to speed up cooking. Have adapted 1/2 recipe to make in a slow cooker and it worked great. The flavors are terific! Try using fresh ginger instead of ground for a real kick up in flavor!

Perfect combination of tastes and spice. My 9 and 11 year-olds loved it and asked me to make it again tonight. Smells great cooking (cinnamon always does and smells great on the plate.

I thought this recipe was delicious. I used exact measurements and found that it needed a little more broth. Not sure how others thought it had too much. Mine was pretty thick. The flavor is delicious and next time I plan on using just a pinch less of the cinnamon and maybe a lil jalapeno for some Bang. Very hearty....

Excellent!! I was very pleased with this recipe. Very easy, delicious, and nutritious. The spices were blended well. To note I tweaked it slightly. I wanted a more vegetarian stew so I omitted the chicken. I simply cooked the onion and celery on med-high for a few minutes, then turned it down low added the salt, pepper, and spices. After 1 min, I added one 19 oz can of each chickpeas and lentils (rinsed and drained, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth. I read from a previous post there was too much liquid so I only added one box of broth, approx. 900 ml. The modifications made this real easy and the right consistency - not to thick and not too soupy!!!

Excellent! This is a great meal, and easy to make. I added a couple of hot peppers to the pot to give it a little kick. (Not much kick came out. Will definitely make this again this winter.

My family likes their food spicy so I had to add a bit more of the spices but overall, this was a crowd pleaser and super easy to make. Thanks Emeril for another great recipe.

I'm very new to cooking and was nervous to use lots of ingredients that are new to me - but it was great! I also loved that I had so much leftovers for another meal.
