So many layers of flavors! A long list of ingredients, but not a difficult dish to wow friends and family with.

Wonderful recipe from one of my favorite chefs EL. Love the layers of flavor and the family loved it as well. Will definitely make again in my home.

Very tasty! Kind of a pain in the butt to make, but in the end well worth the effort. Next time I'll get to chopping the veggies ahead of time. Found it hard to keep up with the recipe, but it all worked out well.

I prepared Hilda'a Portuguese Stewed Chicken yesterday and my family and I thought that it was a great recipe. I've tried dozens and dozens of Emeril's recipes and I found that this one is one of the best. It is very tasty with different flavors going on but they all complement each other. I had spent more time with chopping and dicing than I had expected but if you have a food processor, you should not have a problem. The recipe itself does not take much time to cook once you've done the prep. I have a household of 8 and still have leftovers for today!

This took me about 1 1/2 hours to make, primarily because of the preparation time. It is a very flavorable dish. Loved the veggies and whole cloves of garlic. I found the portuguese chorizo at the first store I tried too. Great for large crowds and/or leftovers.

this stewed chicken recipe has the perfect blend of flavors. it is not pleasing to the eye, but what stew is?? the olives are a definite must for this recipe. and the whole garlic cloves are heavenly. mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

This is a great meal to feed a large family and/or extended family on a Sunday afternoon, particularly during the fall and winter months. The flavor is outstanding and definitely worth the time it takes to prepare this fabulous dish. Couple it with a salad and rustic bread, and you will hear see smiles on all the faces at your dinner table.

I'm pretty new to the whole cooking thing so this took me a few hours to make BUT it was well worth it!!! Everyone loved it except my aunt who can't eat spicy foods. We ate leftovers for a couple of days and it only got better and better!!!

I love Emeril's recipes, but this dish was probably the worst I've ever made.Everything cameout very bitter, my boyfriend (who usually eats everything barely touched it. Maybe because I used mexican chorizo ??
