I've made this recipe several times with little deviation from the original. Everyone raves about it! I have omitted the olives at times and it still tastes wonderful.

The veggie spread here is excellent. Just mix it together a day ahead and when company come over whip it out of the fridge with some bagels and lox.

I've made this several times and it's always a big hit. I only use 1 garlic clove instead of 2 - I find that 2 is a bit too much. Store bought bagel chips are fine if you don't have the time to make them. Making 1 day ahead is great - gives the flavors time to meld together.

I have made this cream cheese spread several times and I love it. The sundried tomatoes, garlic and kalamata olives impart wonderful flavor. I make it one day ahead and refrigerate to let the flavors meld. I do not make the bagel chips but instead, serve the cheese spread on crispy whole grain crackers.

Terrific dip, but difficult to cut the bagels into 10 slices. I ended up cutting the bagels in half first, then slicing the semi-circles as thinly as I was able (about 8 slices.

Used the commercially available Essence in a bottle with good results.

A bit labor intensive with the prep work, but would make a good party dish.

This takes a bit of time to prepare and flavor through, but works great for planning ahead and then bursts with flavor. I have shared this recipe with everyone who has tasted it.

Everybody loved this dip. I only gave it four stars because I'm not that crazy about black olives, and I found the dip to have a very strong black olive flavor. The bagel chips are delicious though.

I recently made this at a party I hosted. I just bought garlic bagel chips instead of making the homemade ones. This dip flew off of the platter. I was serving many other appetizers and this was the first one finished. Everyone at the party raved about it and asked for the recipe. It was unbelievably simple but all the colors of the ingredients together make it look very fancy. I did substitute green onions for scallions and it worked out great. Thank you Emeril!

Emerils Bagel Chips turn out beautifully and are seasoned perfectly. The vegetable spread makes a big amount, and is a total hit with the bagel chips. A very easy snack to make for get togethers, and yet the different flavors in the veggie spread suggest more effort was put forth. Quite a hit!
