I love garlic, so I added garlic powder to the chicken. I did not have thyme, so I added dried parsley and oregano leaves. I used chicken thights instead of the hole chicken. It was perfectly delicious. The sweet potatoes were amaizing. The recipe has the perfect rationing for a family of 4 (2 small children and 2 adults, including left overs. Great job Emeril!

The sweet potatoes were very flavor, I am shocked that the chicken was not as flavorful as I anticipated.

Make sure you double this recipe to feed four, it's really too small. But it's very easy and tasty.

The chicken was very good. Could have used a little less thyme. The taters were extremely good, my grand-babies loved them. Thanks to Emeril!!!!!!

This was easy to make and was tasty. I only made the chicken, only because I did not want to buy the ingredients for the sweet potato. I made regular (white mashed potatoes instead.

This recipe is so easy and you have most of the items in your kitchen. Just a note about the sweet potatoes, if your family is from the south you will think something is missing. It's cinnamon, just add some to taste and they will be so impressed. I have tried to make sweet potatoes before and my boyfriend said this time I got it spot on! Enjoy

I loved a different flavor to my chicken. It was good!!I like my chicken a little more done so I did baked it about 10-15minutes longer becuz it was a little too pink at first. The sweet poatoes are a rave around my house and I just can't make enough of them!! I love Emeril.. He hasnot let me down yet!!!!!

The chicken is SO aromatic! When we make this dish everyone always wants to know when dinner is ready! We do not however make the sweet mashes, we use red babies instead. Still as yummy!

This was a fabulous dish. It was easy to make and the chicken was so tender. And its just the perfect sweet. I also had warm rolls and honey butter with this meal. It was out of this world.
