This is good excellant w/Chicken and Crab, it is a hit at every function. Chicken we always have on hand so easier. I use 2 boneless chicken breast. Boil and shred. Awesome! Sometimes we make at home just to snack on. Def. worth trying!

We make this recipe several times a year for family and friends. It is always the first empty dish.....

I'm a huge Emeril fan, but was very skeptical about making a crab dip that had zero cream cheese. Wow - was I surprised. No single flavor overpowered another and it really wasn't too spicy. I got more requests for this recipe than anything I've made before. A definite and surprising hit that will become my go-to party appetizer. NOTE: For regular crab dip makers, don't be alarmed that this isn't creamy. It will never get creamy, but it is rich and delicious. You definitely need bread or something sturdy to go with this, as it isn't really a dip - more of a spread.

I tried this recipe out for Christmas one year and now the family "demands" that we have it EVERY year! It is really good and I have substituted faux crab and also sometimes add baby shrimp to it. It is ALWAYS a huge hit. My son's girlfriend hates seafood but thought that this dip was delicious! This is a real go-too recipe for us and everyone has a copy.

I cooked for a friend's party and I made this dip for the first time. It was a HUGE hit! First of all, it just looked like a lump crab meat dish, it wasn't overly cheesy or to mayo tasting and the jalapeno added soooo much. This will be forever a staple at any party.

I usually like just about everything I make from FoodTV.com and everything that I make from Emeril. This one, not-so-much. I'm eating it... right now, but Hurricanes help it go down easier. I'll look for a different recipe next time.

Very tasty. I used monterey jack cheese with vege & garlic. I used pre-diced jalepenos. We are a moderate spice family so it was just the right amount of jalepeno for our group. Leftovers (if your lucky can be used broiled on toast on top of a slice of tomato - Yummy!

I made this once years ago and loved it. Tried it again twice and both times came out too crabby. One time used canned lump crap and one with fresh crab meat from a fish market. Blaaah

I can honestly say that this is the best recipe I have found on the food network website! I made this recipe for a New Years Eve party and it was a complete hit. One of my co-workers even mentions the dip everytime we pass each other in the hall. He raves and raves about how great it was. Yes, the dip was a little costly to make, but it was well worth it. If you want to take something to a party that is guarranteed to please, this is your recipe. Excellent Emeril!

I made this Jalapeno Crab Dip numerous times, and each time it was a success. I've even had people licking the bowl, literally. In some cases, depending on the party, I've adjusted the heat level with the jalapenos & pepper jack cheese. Always need to kick up the flavor for football parties! I also serve this with different bread cubes & bugles. Serve this one - you won't be sorry!
