    delicious but difficult

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
For those who dive into recipes without time constraint consideration, be forewarned: this recipe takes a LONG time to make. It's definitely not intermediate either. For novice cooks like myself, I was often concerned that I was doing steps incorrectly. For instance, my dough was really dry and needed extra water and, later, rolling out the dough took a lot of elbow grease. However, despite the time it took, the samosas were delicious and tasted authentically Indian.

    great Recipe

Its not an intermediate level recipe though. This recipe should have been leveled as difficult plus. There are many ingredients, and the cooking technique is a bit unusual as well. I loved making the samosa.

skip the samosa and make omletts

This recipe was so diffucult to make with the single combined ingredient list and nearly all the items in the sauce also in the filling. BTW, the sauce was awsome and I served the leftover on omletts (filled with leftover lamb filling) for breakfast. When making the crust, I thought that the ratio of butter to flour was pretty short. Indeed, the final product was dry and tasted of flour, but having never fried pie dough, decided to follow the instructions to a "T". Should have followed my gut.

Don't do the dough, and it becomes a 30 min meal

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
There's a really easy way to make this recipe take much less time: buy wonton wrappers from the supermarket, and use those instead of making the dough. That cuts the prep time on this recipe to something like 5 minutes, and the filling is easy to make and delicious. I let the kids help me fill the wrappers (don't let them near the hot frying oil, though) and they seemed to have fun. The filling is delicious, and I would recommend this to anyone as a fast and filling meal, especially if they take the easy way out and don't make the dough.
