I have made this dish several times for several differant dinners. Every time it has been a big hit. It is pretty rich, however the pineapple does such a great job of mellowing everything out. If you dont have any of the ingredents its pretty pricey. How can you put a price on the faces of everyone who tries it? You cant, especially when everyone will want the recipe!

The shrimp and pineapple tasted great right off of the grill! It left my family and I begging for more!

Some of my friends do not like prosciutto, so I made some without wrapping the shrimp. However, even they liked it with the prosciutto better because grilling made the taste more like cooked crispy bacon than the normal extra salty deli meat.

I really wanted to love this recipe and even got offended when my girlfriend tried it and said she didn't like it, then i tasted it and had the same feeling. I like the rum sauce and I absolutely love grilled pineapple. I actually make it every time I grill. However the shrimp was not good at all.

I made the mistake of grilling already cooked shrimp because I was pressed for time. They came out overcooked but the flavor was decent. I didnt love the rum butter sauce but I guess it did add to the skewers themselves. a little more flavor would have been nice though.

I made this as an appetizer for our cooking club. We rate recipes as Excellent, Very Good, Good, OK, or NA (Never Again. EVERYONE (all 14 people rated it as EXCELLENT. I would make no changes at all except for perhaps using larger shrimp. I used Gosling's rum for the sauce and it was wonderful.

I am, by no sense of the word, a master chef. However, this was a fairly easy recipe yielding the most delectable shrimp you'll ever taste! I recommend using the sauce over chicken as well. Very creamy and soft. The seasoning on the shrimp is also perfect to complement the taste of the pineapple. If made, the pineapple has to be eaten in the same bite as the shrimp. Well done!

My boyfriend and I just made this recipe and we thought it was excellent. Even though it took a little longer than expected to cook, it was still worth the extra time. Also, we added brown sugar to the butter and rum sauce which made it even more delicious.
