This is a really good patty recipe. Could easily serve one of these with a salad & have a nice meal. This is the first I saw with no breadcrumbs & that is an improvement. The only thing I didn't have was the rum. My search for the perfect patty is over.

This is a great recipe. It required a bit of work to make these but well worth it. I omitted some key ingredients and these patties still tasted great! I couldn't get myself to pay the price for the cardamom ($12.00 for a small container!! and I didn't have any rum on hand. My husband took one bite and immediately detected that something was missing but he still thought these were very tasty. I can imagine what they'd taste like if I added these two important ingredients! My kids and their friends loved these also. These aren also great to pack for lunch when they go to school!

These are fantastic! My husband and I were in Jamaica in 2004 and these are even better than the meat patties we had there. Make smaller versions for great appetizers! We used them for a party with about 30 people there. EVERYONE loved them!

A friend turned me on to the food network as well as Emerils Jamaican patties. Everyone I have made these for has raved about how good they are. verry impressed myself. Very easy to prepare,kids can't get enough of them.
