Dear Emril, this soup was excellant! I made this with my granson right after whatching your show! Its great cooking with the kids,it really gets them to try new things. We made this 2 or 3 years ago and he still talks about it haaahaa! All of my gradkids know who you are!We took 4 of them to Disney World and one of our most special nites was eating in YOUR RESTURANT!!!I can't say enough good things about our experience there. That was actually on my bucket list so cross that off! My grandkids won't forget that there whole life!

I've been making my own sauerkraut soup recipe for years and was looking to do something different and possibly better. I should have stuck with what works. This recipe was boring and we hated the smoked porkchops (too dry and they added very little flavor.

This is really his best dish so far. We didn't use the peppercorns, because we did'nt want it hot. Healty, full of fiber and vitamins. I loved it and I will make it again.

I put this recipie together and it just blew my socks off. Very tasty. I probably won't experiment with it much; I like it the way it is.
