I was asked to make flan for "International Day" at my son's preschool and this was my first attempt, so I was a bit apprehensive. However, it turned out wonderful and wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be! I didn't add the Kahlua, since it was for preschool, but I'm sure its even BETTER with that ingredient left in! My husband doesn't like flan in general and said it was good, so it will definitely be a do-again.

The caramel sauce did not come out so great. I did enjoy the touch of Kalua flavor in the flan. I will make this again for family & friends.

I was a little bit apprehensive before using this recipe since I had never made flan before. I almost chickened out and bought flan from the store. (Since it was for a dinner party, I wanted it to be good.

But, I decided to go ahead and give it a try...and am I glad I did! This was such a simple recipe and the end product was absolutely delicious. The Kahlua definitely adds a nice yet subtle kick. I received compliments from everyone at the party.

The only comment I would add is that I had to leave the flan in the oven for about 30 extra minutes over the suggested time. But, the consistency was perfect after that. Highly recommended recipe!

This was the first time I'd ever made flan before, but I had no trouble following the recipe. The flan tasted fantastic (although it didn't look as pretty as in the picture :- and the Kahlua was a great bonus.

Perfect desert for Mexican night! The only thing that took patience was waiting for the sugar to carmelize. The Kahula added a great touch. YUM!
