I really enjoy this recipe! I omitted the nuts and chocolate chips and used 1 c. of whole wheat and only 1/2 c. of all-purpose flour, and these cookies are delicious!!!

I FOLLOWED THE RECIPE TO A T. I WOUND UP WITH A HUGE COOKIE THAT STUCK TO THE PAN EVEN THOUGH I GREASED THE COOKIE SHEET. I CUT IT WITH A PIZZA CUTTER. I MADE THESE COOKIES BECAUSE COMPANY WAS COMING, I AM NOT SERVING THIS MESS.

i've made this recipe twice with same problem each time. the cookies spread out so thin, you can't get them off the cookie sheet and the crumble into a mess. i'm a professional cook and love Emeril's recipes but he fell asleep at the wheel on this one. I added more flour, put batter in freezer, and all these tricks do help. but after looking at the reviews, i'm relieved to know it's not just me. don't use this recipe! find another!

How on earth do 1/2 of the people reviewing this recipe get perfect results and the other 1/2 get a terrible cookie? My husband made these cookies tonight and followed the recipe EXACTLY....we ended up with one big cookie as thin as paper. Sure it tastes good....but we wanted cookies! There are many adjustments needed to make this recipe work...not worth the effort...find another trusted recipe with NO bad reviews so you wont be wasting ingredients.

My husband's favorite cookie is oatmeal raisin so I wanted to make a really special one for him. I found Emeril's receipe and it is so absolutely delicious. My dough seemed a little sticky so I added just a little more flour and my cookies came out perfect. I doubled the receipe for Christmas and I can't wait to give them out to my family and friends....if there are any left. This receipe is a keeper. Thank you Emeril!!

These cookies came out almost like crackers. Not my idea of a cookie. Emeril never lets me down either. I was very disappointed.

This recipe was horrible.. the cookies were flat, raw in the center burnt on the edges and had no flavor. The time or temperature on the instructions is wrong. It took me 17 min to get them so then weren't so gooy in the center, and when i tried to take them off the cooking sheet they stuck from the sugar on the bottom. I don't think that ill ever make these cookies again.

These tasted great, but I would have to agree with the other reviewers, that maybe some more flour would be helpful. The cookies came out quite flat and crumbled very easily. Even when the cookies fall apart the crumbs taste great though!

The white chocolate chips add something special without making these too sweet.
