These were perfect! I made them for a casual dinner party and we could not eat them fast enough!

My husband and I are lamb-lovers and generally have roasts or chops. This was an easy, special treat. I added some minced jalapeno to the mix and topped as suggested but sprinkled with fresh chopped mint - ummmmmm. The mint made the dish - fresh, fresh, fresh! Oh, also served on olive bread - omg!!!!!

This recipe was exactly what I was looking for -- grilling something in the summer other than chicken or beef. Lamb burgers! This recipe in particular was so simple, just a few ingredients, and voila! My local store has ground lamb which is more fat than the 90:10 recommended, but it worked fine. Again, I wanted to keep it simple. Also, I substituted dry rosemary for the fresh stuff and used "greek style" plain yogurt [the good ol' 2% strength] which came in a smaller sized container than other plain yogurt(s, which would have probably gone to waste. I also put the mixture together, covered, and set it in the frig for about an hour before I grilled, maybe this helped the flavors blend. We used hamburger buns instead of pita bread and did not skimp on the feta cheese -- love me some feta cheese and kalamata olives. Grilled some zucchini and squash alongside. Wow. Wonderful change of pace. This recipe is a keeper at our house. Husband loved it.
