Great green beans. A little too sour but that can easily be adjusted for next time, and there will be a next time.

super quick, easy and tasty. The adults *loved* them. The kids not so much...they liked their "plain" green beans better...but that is the kids. I would serve these at andult dinner party again for sure. I used some "smashed" pine nuts I had left over from making pesto sauce and squashed too many of them. This was a great use for them!

Made these tonight to go with grilled trout. Absolutely the best thing on the table - the whole family loved them. Made 2 lbs of beans, and they're all gone!

Nice variation on the dill and butter version. The shallot and lemon flavors come through just enough to be noticeable but not overwhelming. Pay complete attention when sauteeing the shallots and pine nuts in the melted butter--they burn in literal seconds if you're not watching (from personal experience!.

I'm not a big green bean eater. I've never found a green bean that I've really cared for but this recipe was easy and delicious. I have already made this dish twice in the last week and hope to make it again soon.

Made this for my wife and I and let me tell you she is skeptical about green beans that are not cooked as we traditionally think. Turned out great she even said something about the hint of pine nuts coming through with a hint of lemon. Delicious and easy to make, served this with a braised pork belly and parmesan potatoes for Valentines Day feast. Went well with a dry red, jazz, and candle light.

Easy to make and a great twist on regular green beans. I used almond slivers instead of pine nuts since I didn't have any at home and it turned out perfect. I saw some other reviews that people had trouble with the green beans turning an odd brown color...if you soak them in ice water for a few minutes after boiling them they will keep their green color.
