Delicious!!!!
I've made many lemon pies and lemon custards through the years. This is by far the best. I didn't change the recipe at all....except for adding an extra tablespoon of limoncella. I tried using a pre made pastry from the super market.
Please if you make this recipe...do it service by making a pastry from scratch. Anything less would be a sin! I doubled the recipe and got by with just an extra tablespoon of cornstarch.
Because of using milk, the color is a creamy yellow. Absolutely beautiful!!!!
The two pies didn't make it past mid day Easter!!!!! Pure Heaven!!!!!

Did not make this recipe's crust, only the filling and meringue, but let me tell you I could just eat an entire bowl of the lemon curd filling! YUMMMM

I've always used a recipe from Southern Living Magazine, It was good, BUT THIS IS GREAT!! Very easy and flavor is wonderful. Have made this several times over the past few months. I always had trouble with a weepy crust and found that with this recipe it didn't do that. I also make sure to put merinque on hot filling and seal completely around the edge.

Hey all you foodies who had trouble with the ingredients: First, anything meringue has trouble on rainy, humid days. Extra time in the oven after you turn the oven off and crack the door open will help and DON"T USE CONVECTION HEAT, standard bake only. Anything with cornstarch needs to come to a good simmer and kept there for a few minutes to let the cornstarch completely change (better to error on the side of a bit longer than you think just keep stirring

Not sure what happened when I made this pie...the lemon didn't set-up. I followed the recipe and used a new box of corn starch but the lemon filling was soup? Great flavor and color, certainly worth another try!

This recipe was great! I followed the tips to avoid weeping and my pie turned out perfect. The only mistake I made was to use my own sweet dough pie recipe instead. It wasn't a good match and didn't hold up in the fridge. Next time i will use Emerals crust. I highly recommend this pie!!!

Yummy is how I would rate this pie. Followed his receipe w/ no problems. Put merinque on hot filling and brought to edge. Family loved it.
