    I've made a lot of lemon meringue pies in the past. I usually found myself cutting the sugar in half for most recipes because they were just too sweet. Lemon pies should be somewhat tart in my opinion. This recipe delivers with a nice balance between sweet and tart. Its fairly easy to make as well.. Always a bonus in my opinion.

    Its worth trying for sure. If you have time, squeeze your own lemon juice. I always do and it makes a difference.

    This is the best Lemon Meringue pie I have ever tasted. I'm made this recipe twice in two weeks and everybody is still nagging at me to make this pie more and more. Bravo!!!!

    The crust is tender and sweet very easy to do.. the filling is the best I have tasted and easy also.. very lemon.. I did the merinque is the oven it browns best there.. thanks Emeril!! this is a keeper.

    That was the worst lemon meringue pie I have ever seen. Using 6 egg whites the meringue should have stood a mile high. And the remark that you made you don't like to use the oven because you burn it. Well you burned it plenty with that torch.
