    Way to much salt. Will make it again with more carrots. Just beans and spices didn't do much for me.

    This recepie Is absolutely incredible. My entire family (even those that's swore that they hate lentils loved it. I am so happy I found this recepie and I willbe using it for years to come. Thank you Emril.

    Emeril, your the "bomb"!!(or Bam Made this soup last week for good friday and it was a huge hit. The flavors are all there. But, I think the secret ingredients are the ginger & cayenne. Just perfect. Making again today for a friend coming out of the hospital. Know she'll love it.

    i've made a few variations of lentil soup in my cooking days, and this is by far the best! even without the curry crema or lentil crackers or parsley oil, it is delicious. so delicious. although i only made the curry crema to add, it was so delicious. highly recommended.

    This is absolutely my favorite lentil soup recipe! I have never bothered to make the lentil crackers or the fried carrots because it seems like a lot of extra work. I think the soup is great alone or with the parsley oil, which adds a lot of flavor. I have been making this recipe for years and wouldn't dream of trying another lentil soup recipe!

    If this recipe were for just the soup, I would give it 4 stars. However, because I went and bought all those extra ingredients, and spent time frying carrots, processing parsley, mixing the crema, rolling out dough--I thought it was overrated. When it came time to eating the soup, all the extras made for a pretty presentation, but it was all too much flavor. I went back and had a bowl of just the soup... nothing else. I will make the lentil soup again, and forget about everything else--even the curry crema.

    Emeril's Lentil soup w/ Curry Crema is absolutely amazing. I had been wanting to do something with the lentils I randomly purchased and this recipe turned out perfect. The flavor lingers in your mouth long after you have finished the soup. Thanks Emeril for never disappointing!

    I make this often, usually without the bacon to make it healthier. I'll also use lo fat sour cream as well for the crema and it works just fine.

    Since I was short on time but was in the mood for lentil soup I only made the soup and put some curry crema on top of the soup. It was still very delicious. Next time I will defenitely make the sides as well.
