I'm never making 'yellow' mac & cheese again. I have made this recipe several times with lesser expensive cheese (swiss and it's not the same. This is the best ever and has become a family favorite.

This has layers of flavor. My daughter called it the best mac and cheese she's ever eaten, and I think I have to agree. The store was out of Fontina chesse, so I used a little mozzerella in it's place.

I made this trying to find a good mac n' cheese and simple just being tired of the same old thing. It made a ton! It was very easy to do especially since I had never cooked with some of these things before. It was SOOO good!! My daughter and I just loved it!! She wanted to eat nothing but that all week!! I can;t wait to make it again!! Only thing was some of the cheese was kind of hard to find but I did find it across town, and it was kind of expensive but well worth the cost! It is a great idea to take to feed a crowd!!

Even before I tried it I fell in love with it. I added some sausage and added four cups of cheese instead of two. this was a 5 star dish.

Once again a delicous and easy recipe. I did add some chives to the sauce it was delicous. It should be rated 5 stars.

I made this for a grown-up Sunday Supper for friends and everyone raved about it. The cheese did get a bit expensive but well worth it. I think next time instead of nutmeg I will use truffle oil... yum!

I made this dish in 2006 (three years ago! and it was so good that I spent nearly a week searching for this recipe to make my Thanksgiving Macaroni. The flavor combination is near perfect! My family actually prefers "dry" macaroni and cheese but if you want a creamier texture, you can always increase the amount of milk used while decreasing the amount of flour used.

I made this for Thanksgiving. It was a great hit! The men of the family
loved it. Gave me many compliments. However, I switched up the cheese
by using 3/4 a block of white cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup of shredded
cheddar.

This non-traditional/grown-up mac & cheese is wonderful. My picky husband loves it and it has become one of the favorites!
