This is the only "REAL" original Mai Tai receipe! Perfectly strong as it should be and not fruity and/or too sweet! It puts all other so called "Mai Tai" receipes to shame! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Very much like what you'll find at Hawaiian resorts (much more booze in these, though). So what if it's not the original Trader Vic's mai tai? It's good! We didn't use orgeat (almond), as many mai tai recipes call for. I topped these off with a little extra pineapple juice, as my family prefers a less boozy taste. item not reviewed by moderator and published
mai tai recipe we have found since trying to replicate the ones at the hale koa hotel in Hawaii. Many places serve what is essentially fruit punch or kool-aid type drink. This is the real thing. Yes, they are strong, but really good- just sip it over ice! Found the grenadine unnecessary though. To make large batches substitute "cups" or any amount you need for "oz". We served these at a dinner party and they were gone in a flash- had to keep making more! Thanks! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Pretty close to what is served in Hawaii. We added some simple syrup and Orgeat syrup and that helped. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I stumbled across this recipe !!! I have been stumbling ever since. THE CHINESE RESTAURANTS SHOULD LEARN THIS. there really is no other recipe out there that compares thanks for the knee scrapes the blender is always at the ready!!! item not reviewed by moderator and published
We all agreed that it was way too strong, and not in a good way either. My boyfried just got back from Hawaii said that this isn't even close to a Mai Tai. I changed it around and came up with my own version. This is pretty good, and everyone at the party enjoyed it. It did get a bit sweet though after one or two drinks. Perhaps some lime would help, or omitting the grenadine. ? cup orange juice ? cup pineapple juice 1 ounces light rum 1 ounce Orange Curacao Dash grenadine I love Emeril, but this one just didn't work. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This is the best mixed drink I have ever made...and I've made alot as a bartender for 7 years. I plan on making it for my husband and me in a few minutes. You have to get all the ingredients and mix them exactly as specified. Bravo Emeril. I love ya! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This is a very easy and very good drink. We double the recipe and make it in a pitcher and serve it with shaved ice at parties and it is a big hit! item not reviewed by moderator and published
