I followed everything on this recipe, however, it was not as good as I hoped it would be.
I had mango lassi at some Indian restaurant and it was awesome! It was very smooth, creamy, mango-y... But this recipe was not as creamy and mango-y. I had to add double the mango and more sweetness till I was satisfied. It sill wasn't as good as the ones I had in the restaurants. The rose water definitely gave a nice little smell and taste, but I don't think I'd put it next time. I would also put less OJ or none at all. I will try other mango lassi recipes, also on this website, and see how they go.
Overall, after modifying the recipe a little, it was okay. I would still pay $4 for the ones in the restaurant till I find the perfect recipe.

I finally got the chance to make my own, and this will be my new fav drink to serve quests, or quench myself on hot summer days. So smooth and so easy to make. I got the mango pulp at the local Indian market as well as the rose water. Actually I dont think traditional Lassi's have rose water & I didnt really notice the taste of it.. But its delicious regardless and easy to customize for any amount of servings. Definately give this one a try. If you love mangoes you've love this drink. Great crowd pleaser.

I didn't have any rosewater on hand and added a banana for more fruit flavor. It's very rich and filling.
