Love this recipe. I use it, with variations, almost every weekend, and particularly when we're planning to camp in the RV. I can easily make it in the convection microwave while we camp or have it ready to go if I have time the night before.
Everyone loves it, it's always a hit... and I look like a gourmet chef when presenting it. :-

This recipe is *SO* good. The smoked gouda and potato hasbrown crust really set it apart from the typical quiche. Its a very hearty dish, MANLY even!

I made this for our Father's Day brunch, and everyone, including my dad, absolutely loved it! It's no more hassle than any other quiche. A winner!

Hash brown crust beats a pastry crust anyday. The recipe left out an instruction to mix the onion/chili pepper combination with the sausage before spooning onto the crust.

I used vegetarian breakfast sausage instead, and chopped up and added the rest of the bell pepper. I also used 4 egg whites and one egg instead of 3 eggs. I used a 6-cheese italian mix and smked gouda. It turned out great!

I'm a recently diagnosed with celiac disease, EXCELLENT hash brown crust! Note, do lightly pan fry your hashbrowns before making into a crust, or else the quiche will be too wet. Otherwise another Emeril SLAM DUNK!
;-D
Thanks,
JL

I made this for a brunch which was attended by both men & women. The guys reaved about it & the ladies were so happy that there is a quiche to please men. I did customize it a bit, just to make it even easier! 2 Phins Up! thats for the Parrot Heads, for whom I made this dish!

Great breakfast dish. I used cooked bacon instead of italian sausage and I added spinach. This is a versitile dish. I would add more eggs and less cheses next time.

I served this quiche at an informal holiday brunch. Everyone loved it! I would've liked a little more cheese in it. Next time I'll add about 1/4 C. more cheese.
