I haven't made this but had it at NOLA at least 6 years ago and still dream about it. Decided to look for the recipe and can't wait to try it!If it comes out half as good as Emeril's staff made it I'll be happy

I saw something similar to this on a television show bragging about chocolate soup and just had to try it. So after a dry spell of not being able to cook, I urged my dad to sit down and let me cook for him. His dessert was chocolate soup with the marscapone brioche and I was extremely excited to make this. However, it was a lot to handle, very sweet, and it wasn't thick enough. It actually wasn't really that good at all with the exception of the brioche, which was .. very good. And worth making. It's a spread I'd use on bagels or really just about anything. But overall, I wasn't impressed.

Absolutely amazing and simple. You'll have BRAGGING RIGHTS if you present this at a brunch!
If marscpone cheese is unavailable use this alternative:
    16 ounces cream cheese
    1/3 cup sour cream
    1/4 cup whipping cream
Blend all together until light and fluffy! I cut the cream cheese to only 13 ounces so it didn't overpower.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! If you don't try these you are missing out. This recipe is so easy with few ingredients. This dessert also gets people talking - first they think you're nuts (Chocolate soup? and then they think you're amazing. I'll be amking it over and over just to snack on. It's filling though.
