I love these cookies(candy really! I began a batch today and suddenly realized that I was out of choc. chips and only had a small amount of pecans. I did however have white choc. chips and Heath bar toffee pieces. They turned out excellent!!!
I only left them in oven for 6 hours and as of this writing there are only 4 left!! My family loved them. Im making a new batch 1/2 regular ingrediants and 1/2 Heath White choc.

I liked these very much except they were too sweet for me. I will try again and either use less sugar, or keep the sugar the same and add just the walnuts and not the chocolate. Super simple to make!

These cookies were easy to make and very yummy. I've been sceptical about meringues since I don't like store bought ones, they're too hard. These were puffy and light and delicous. Great gift for a friend who needs to what his cholesteral.

Ok, I've tried about 3 different recipes for Meringue cookies, and they have always been a little off. I was looking for a reason to use my new KitchenAid mixer and thought what could be better than Meringue Cookies. This recipe was awesome and so easy!! Now I must confess, I didn't use the nuts (I didn't have any and way to lazy to go to the store Oh- and I was out of sugar, so I took my raw sugar and gave it a few spins in the food processor first. LOL, it still worked! I don't like super sweet cookies so I cut it back to only half cup with semi sweet choc chips and Yummy!! So crispy and melt in your mouth!! Try them you will love them! Next time I'm going to try them with the nuts!

Made without the nuts and chocolate the first time just to see how they would turn out without wasting the nuts and chocolate. Honestly it was the easiest receipe - easy to make - the waiting over 2 hours was the hardest part. However, I did not like the flavor from the vanilla extract. I am making them again tomorrow and will leave out the vanilla but going to put the nuts and chocolate chips in tomorrow. So giving a 4 today and will see how they turn out tomorrow.

Easy, fast, and delicious! Took these tasty cookies to a tailgate party and they were a hit. Like others, I don't bother with the superfine sugar. I do use the cream of tartar, however, and also used mini chips. Love the baking instructions--simplifies the recipe even more. Couldn't be easier. This is a great cookie for dry climates like Colorado. Should work anywhere but I would avoid trying them on a rainy day. They probably won't stay crispy.

My first attempt at meringues and these are superb. I did not bother with the cream of tarter or superfine sugar (just used regular granulated and they still turned out perfectly. Also used mini chocolate chips instead.

Am I the only one that experiences this? I've tried other recipes to try to figure out if it changed anything. I made these tonight. I love the flavor. I don't add any of the chips or nuts or anything, just enjoy them plain. Every time however I get cookies that look beautiful, but turn out to be fairly hallow inside. If someone's figured out how to get around this I'd love to hear it.

I made these with Ghiradelli Bittersweet chocolate chips (that helps with the sweetness and finely chopped toasted hazelnuts for a good crunch. Also, make them small. I use a cookie scoop so that they're all uniform and portion controlled. My friends loved them!
As for people who whine about lack of nutrional info, go out and find it. There are pleanty of websites that you can plug a recipe into and it will give you the info.
These work out to 1 point each for Weight Watchers, given that I made a double batch and that came out to exactly 48 cookies.

First time I had made meringue cookies and they were great, and so easy, omitted the nuts and used grated dark 90%cocoa chocolate, my family heartily approved!! A keeper for sure.
