I substitued venison for the other meat in this recipe and it was so delicious! Plus I had filling left over to freeze and use for another time! easy recipe to follow!

These peppers were awesome...so filling yet not heavy feeling at all. I substituted spicy sausage for the ground pork and made a homemade sweet & spicy tomato sauce. The recipe was so easy and everything came out perfect. I will definitely use this recipe again.

These stuffed peppers were a hit with my family. I made a few modifications based on other reviewers feedback. I don’t think I parboiled the peppers as long as the recipe calls for, but after being cooked, everyone agreed that the slight crunch actually was preferable to a mushier pepper. I used 1 pound of 93/7 ground turkey instead of beef and pork. I also drained the beef mixture before adding in the sauce and rice. A lot of people suggested baking the peppers in sauce instead of water – we used the water, which I think ended up being better. Sauce in the pan almost seems like a waste of sauce. I also sprinkled parmesan cheese on the peppers with around 24 minutes, and cooked the peppers for 30 minutes.

I always get rave reviews on this when I make it. I like to make extra sauce to pour over the top once the peppers are opened... Just love this one. Sauce is great over mashed potatoes too!

I don't even need the bell peppers. I could eat the stuffing by itself! My wife and I love it!
