This has to be the best coffee cake I've ever had! It was very easy to make, too.

Put 2 t vanilla in batter. I would use more blackberries next time. Baked for about 38 min. Poured a glaze mixture of 10x sugar, vanilla, melted butter, and milk over warm cake...yum.

I liked the comment below about adding some cinnamon and vanilla to the batter I think I'll try that next time I make. I'll definitely make again.

the amount of sour cream called for in the recipe results in a dense cake.

This was the best blueberry coffee cake I've ever had. It was so moist even the morning after I made it. This got major compliments from everyone who had a piece! I will make this again and again.

I made this and was very disappointed. I was having company, and did not make the cake ahead of time because I've always trusted Food Network recipes. I used blueberries in the cake. It had VERY LITTLE flavor. I actually was embarrassed after serving it.

The not-too-sweet cake flavor combined with the tartness of the blueberries and the sweet crunchiness of the topping made for an exquisite taste. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because, as another member noted, the "cake" does not rise as much as one would expect a coffee cake to rise. It is more of a moist tart than a cake texture. Regardless, my family couldn't get enough.

I substituted oatmeal for the crushed nuts, chopped it a bit in the food processor. It was wonderful!

I was looking for a coffee cake that I could make that would rival a local favorite, Hobee's. I have made this many times since and it's definitely a favorite anytime we serve it. The best part is it's very easy!
