I am baking this cheesecake now, and I am a little worried about the browning on the top and I was looking for advice/comments. Next time i will definitely reduce the amount of time the cake bakes at 500, I am just hoping that the browned top is not too overdone and the cake will still be enjoyable.

I have made a lot of cheesecakes and this one is the best!!! It is a very tall cheesecake that is the smoothest texture I've ever made. The lemon and orange zest gives it the extra "yum" factor. I recieved nothing but compliments on my baking abilities from a room full of strangers.

A word of caution - most of the time you don't have to use a water bath if a cheesecake contains flour to avoid cracking. My cheesecake cracked so I will be using a water bath the next time. However, with this recipe you might want it to crack to prove you didn't buy it! :

I am looking foward to using this as a base for other cheesecake creations in the future.

Make this cake - you will not be dissapointed!

I prepared two cheesecakes for Mother's Day and used blueberry pie filling as topping. It was eaten before and after the meal. Even those that were not cheesecake fans raved over this one. I just followed the recipe.

I really love this recipe but my problem wasn't with the 500 degrees it was the 200 for an hour. I had it in there for three and a half before it finished but it was wonderful and my whole family loved it.

Ever since I've been using this recipe my co-workers and family are always asking for me to make it. It makes the absolute best cheesecake. It is rich creamy and delicious and lets not forget a lot of work. But, it's worth it.

I made this cheesecake to bring to a diner party where everyone was a cheesecake lover. They all raved about it, said it was the best they had ever had. I served it with the pineapple sauce. It was the hit of the evening.
