I will never again buy cheesecake!!! This is so easy to make, I don't make hte coulis, since I prefer my cheesecake plain. Everyone that tries it loves it and raves about how good it is.

Generally, I stay away from Emeril's recipes since they are so unbelievable difficult and day-consuming. However, even though this did take a little more time than anticipated (and my first cheesecake ever, IT TURNED OUT GREAT!!! My family was amazed that it turned out the way it did. This was a picture-perfect cheesecake (no cracks and my family said it was "Way better than restaurants." This is going into the recipe box and is a keeper.

Emeril once again did not disappoint! I have not baked many cheesecakes in my day.
I am ALWAYS looking out for new, or better ways to cook or bake, and I enjoy getting new recipes online, or in old cookbooks from the second hand bookstore here in town..
Getting back to my cheesecake experience.....needless to say I am lacking some. ;O( But that did not deter me from attempting Emeril's Old-Fashioned New York-Style Cheesecake. I needed to make a better covering next time for the pan. Although I thought that I had used enough, a second layer of foil would have been a good idea! I had NEVER made a cheesecake using a water bath! I actually broke out the black turkey roasting pan the night before Thanksgiving, and it was the perfect size!!
Success......Everyone RAVED over this cheesecake!!!!!!! You MUST try this recipe, it is SINFUL!!! Thanks again Emeril!!!! <3

It was really good and i don't even like cheesecake...a nice lemony flavor. It was a lot of cream cheese though which was kind of expensive but it was really good!
