    I,ve been looking for this recipe for years. Bar tenders don't even know how to make it these days. The only thing I'd change is use an orange twist, not lemon.
    This drink was very popular in the 60's and it is very nostalgic for me.

    How I make an old fashion: dissolve sugar cube with a dash or two of bitters and stir in a little cherry juice. Add a jigger of whiskey or brandy, ice and a couple splashes of 7up or water. I find it that it gets a bit sweet with sugar and cherry juice, so I usually skip the sugar.
