Numero Uno!!!!! OMG, I don't even speak Spanish and this is what came out of my mouth! Absolutely delicious. Grilled the salmon with Ina's grey poupon, garlic, soy sauce and olive oil marinade. The lentils were superb.....thanks Emeril. This is a keeper.

Making this again tonight. The lentils alone are so good, I make them often, even without the salmon. But, tonight they will be paired again with the salmon. As someone else said, a salad rounds it out.

Joanne: Even with the skin removed, there is a "skin side;" it is the side where the skin would be. If there was never sin on your fillet, it's the more "rounded" side: the side that fish guy displays. that's the skin side.

I love this recipe! Pan roasted asparagus or a green salad goes perfectly with it.

I hate people to review a recipe they didn't make yet, but here goes. I am wondering about the list of ingredients that says salmon portions "skin removed" and the directions that say to put the salmon in the pan "skin side down . . . " ?????? Which is it? Skin or no skin?

I did not make the salmon, so I can only comment on the lentils, but I must say they were divine!!! I can't wait to make them again. The bacon really did the trick for me. Kudos on a great recipe!

I'm not the best cook; very plain cooking. I'm really liking salmon these days but didn't do well baking it once. THIS recipe not only was simple enough to put together, but the flavor of the lentil along w/the salmon; YUM!! I did follow another review that said to cut down on the stock from 4 cups but I didn't go to 2 cups, I used closer to 3. 4 definitely seems like it might be too much stock. I had enough lentils left over that I've been enjoying them for breakfast w/scrambled eggs!!
