the next time i make this, i'll probably just cook the fish with the lentils in the same pot, making it more of a stew than a protein + side. also i used about half of the stock called for, and it came out fine.

Tasty recipe - BUT: 4 cups of chicken stock is just crazy. A half-pound of lentils won't absorb that in 30 minutes, or even 60. Cut the stock to 1 1/2 or 2 cups -- far more realistic.

This recipe was easy and fast to make. I left out the bacon, and it came out very good.I served it with rice.

Nice, I kicked it up a notch, with a Creme Fraiche, lemon and fresh herbs drizzle over the plated entree.
