Loved it last year and even brought it to friends for Christmas dinner - a real hit as an amuse.

I added a raw cranberry and sliver of orange peel to each cocktail glass for a little color - the treat has become a real hit. Fun to try flavored vodka's as well. Orange Stoli was great last year; Ruby Red this year. Yuuum.

I know that Emeril presented this as a Thanksgiving drink, but I make it every year for my Fourth of July party and everyone loves it. It's like a slushie for adults. Just make sure that it will not be mistaken for a kids treat because you can barely taste the vodka. I use Grey Goose, Frozen Minute Maid, and Ocean Spray Cranberry-I also add a little fresh lime juice.

WOW! My concoction did not look ANYTHING like the picture, that's why I only give it 3 stars. When I added the orange juice concentrate to the cranberry juice, it turned a yucky brown. The taste was good but the color was kind of a turn-off.

Made this for Thanksgiving and everyone got a little "slushy"...
When I make it next time I will cut the vodka. It is so good you can stop drinking it-next thing you know-slushy!!

This has become a Valentines Day Party tradition for us. Here's the twist: Double the recipe and use citrus or lemon flavored vodka. Mix in a 2 1/2 gallon freezer zipper bag. When you are ready, it is easy to pour into a punch bowl, and scoop with a ladle. Garnish with fresh strawberries or raspberries.

Red Rooster was an 'Adult' favorite just before Christmas dinner this year. Delicious!
