The flavor, appearance and aroma of this dish is unbeatable! I've tried several different sweet potato recipes over the years for the holidays, and this one beats them all! Even my children (who are not very fond of sweet potatoes loved it! This one's a keeper!

This dish is unique and has wonderful flavor! The bourbon, OJ and vanilla bean really make it stand out! Everyone loved this! I made it last Christmas and plan to make it again this Thanksgiving.

First time and every time this dish is totally fabulous. I didn't know sweet potatoes/yams could be so good. I believe it is the beautiful flavor of the vanilla beans that does it. Thanks to Rhoda and Emeril for sharing this delight.

The recipe is so simple, but is the best that I have ever eaten. I found out that if you add just a little pinch of Star Anise in the syrup, it gives it an even better taste. Best to use fresh yams.

I don't care for sweet potatoes, but these were awesome. I have to make them every holiday for my two families! Thanks Rhoda!

A little time consuming, but worth it. If I had not been watching the program, I would have left the vanilla beans in rather than remove them. This was omitted from the recipe on the web site.

I veiwed the Thanksgiving program that made Rhoda's Candied Sweet Potatoes - Kicked Up and decided to make them for my family. Well, needless to say, they were a very big hit. So now I will be making Rhoda's Candied Sweet Potatoes as often as I can. All my thanks and have a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
