I'm a big fan of Emeril's recipes, but this wasn't very innovative or tasty.I felt the topping really didn't compliment the filling (too much cinnamon for starters and the filling was on the bland side. I sure it was a little better with a few strawberries as the other rater suggested.

Everyone loved this recipe...My husband usually finds the pastry too mushy but this one is like cake! We also loved the nutmeg and cinnamon flavors. I put a little less rhubarb and added some frozen strawberries and it was great!

This is so simple and the flavor of rhubarb--sweet and sour---is wonderful. This is easy to make. the topping simply is a finishing touch. Did not make the ice cream, though that would have been delicious.
