Made this as an appetizer while my husband was cooking up a Cornish game hen stuffed with date/fig/almond/cinnamon couscous. As another rater noted, I drizzled the honey and the rosemary on a square white dish for a perfect presentation. Wonderful. I'm thinking, maybe next time, a small piece of bacon stuffed in the top, too?

I'm making this for the second time this week, it is that good! With an over-abundance of figs on my tree, I was so lucky to come across this recipe. Simple to make, fresh taste and the cheese was "the bomb"! Thanks, as usual, Emeril!! (I used a local honey, which I believe made this dish taste even better.

I just came across this recipe while looking for something else. They sounded so good that I ran out and bought figs and the cheese and made them. They were soooo tasty and looked so lovely on the plate. I made them for my husband and I and served three at a time on white plates. I sat them on honey but I also drizzled the honey on the plates and it made a lovely presentation. My husband immediately requested that we take then as an appetizer to some friends we are visiting this weekend.
I love recipes like this. They look so lovely on the plate and look like they took a lot of time. But they are simple to make and simple to present. I would serve these as an appetizer or as a dessert.

We just didn't care for the combination of figs with the sweet honey and gorgonzola, would have preferred skipping the gorgonzola and just drizzling with honey.

This results were simply FABULOUS! I love figs as well as gorgonzola and this hit the spot. I had a hard time finding figs but when I found them I made the recipe. It was the best. I love you Emeril and I think that the Food Network should never had canceled your afternoon show. You and Mario are the best chiefs on the network. You surely teach differnt things not make the same foods that others do on this network, esp. the new additions to the network. I watch this channel for years and now have a very hard time watching the new shows. The new hosts are so repeative regarding the food they perpare, one makes a dish and the next show makes the same dish. It has become boring. Nor do you laugh at yourself consistenly or make sexual jestures. I hope to see more of you and Mario on other networks. Lorraine

I made this a year ago for a party we had and I'm still getting requests for this recipe. It was easy and delicious. Actually, they were an afterthought to my menu. Someone brought figs to me the day of the party and I prepared them quickly after doing a quick search to find a good recipe. They were incredible!

I recently obtained some fresh figs and didn't have a clue as to how to prepare them. This recipe appealled to me because of its simplicity, and I am adding it to my recipe box because the results were simply FABULOUS!
