This recipe, along with the brined trukey, is why Emeril is the best. I made 6lbs last year and they were all gone! I dont go quite as heavy with the garlic but it still works. Absolutely delicious!

Be careful not to over cook the garlic. Otherwise, it's great!

I've made this twice and they are really good--and I don't even like potaoes! It had a lot of flavor.

These are my very favorite mashed potatoes, but I'm lousy at squeezing and/or removing the garlic from the roasted cloves. I make a mess and get the dried skins all mixed in with it. Guess I need to see how it's done.

The roasted garlic is so much nicer than other ways. My family loved these & they are now going to be my standard mashed potatoes. They are more calories than some preparations but they are worth it when you want mashed potatoes occasionally. Made them with a red wine braised roast & they were killer good!

Although I though the flavor was a bit bland, the roasted garlic was amazing....I just think I needed to add more salt to this for sure.

These mashed potatoes were excellent! I used a potato ricer to "mash" the potatoes and the garlic. The texture was to die for. The proportions of roasted garlic, cream and butter make theses potatoes just perfect.

Finally, a great garlic mashed potato recipe. Just made these today for the first time. I agree, one should go easy on the garlic(especially if first time. I used 1 large sized head. Used cream according to preference. ESSENTIAL to salt the water! Easy to make and so DELICIOUS!!!

My family loved this entire pot of garlic mashed potatoes. Better than any we have ever had in any restaurant!! Note to Susan from Crestview Florida who had a hard time with them tasting FLAT, try salting your water while you boil your potatoes, and after you drain, add salt before you add butter and cream. YUM!!
