Excellent and easy to make. Did not give it a five star as the rum balls would get soft after sitting for awhile. Need more crisp to the bite.

Decided at the last minute to make this recipe. Realized I did not have any cocoa or dark rum; however, I did have a bottle of vanilla rum and vanilla extract. Made the recipe using 2 Tbls vanilla and a little more of the vanilla rum since it is not as strong as the dark rum. Recipe turned out fantastic and lends itself to substitutions. In the future, I am planning on trying combinations.

Friends with allergies to chocolate and those who disliked chocolate told me that they were happy to know that rum balls could be made without chocolate. Keeping recipe in file.

These rum balls probably would have been awesome had I not put a little extra rum in them. I used toasted walnuts and they were great. I also used Myers Dark Rum so do not use more than the recipe calls for if you are using that. Very Strong

The hit of the party and at work. I use pecans instead of walnuts and the rum balls taste just fine.

The rum balls come out great as described and are a tasty treat. If you want to make a chocolate rumballs then, this is the one to make. However, other desserts are just better. Most people eat just one or two and then dont go back, choosing to eat other desserts instead. I finally threw most of them out...
