On their own these Salmon Burgers would be very good. It's the addition of the Sesame Slaw and the amazing--and simple to make--soy mayo that really makes these burgers something special.
They make for a perfect change-of-pace from the usual burgers on the grill in Summertime. I can't recommend them highly enough...

I made these burgers for dinner last night. It was a hit. My husband (a huge meat eater, fish and slaw not so much said it was his new favorite. Loved the way salmon tasted with the sesame slaw. My three year old twins kept saying, "I like it Mommy!" as they finished their plates. My eighteen month old joined in as well. It did take about an hour to prepare, but it was worth the effort. Another great recipe from foodnetwork, thanks!!

I cooked this yesterday with 1.75 pounds of salmon (with all other ingredients the same and I still got six nice sized patties out of it. Also, I didn't have a food processor handy so I just diced up the salmon meat into really small chunks. I was worried that the patties would fall apart while frying but they didn't. It was just perfect! Also, I only needed to cook it about 2 minutes on each side. My husband and his friend thought salmon burgers was a strange idea but after serving it to them on a yummy onion bun and a side of sweet potato fries, they gave this meal two thumbs up!

I made them per the recipe, except I used canned salmon (2 cans, 14.5 ounces each, drained, then salmon flaked with forks. I know fresh salmon would be a better option, but I had every other ingredient so I went with it.
I made the patties, the glaze, the mayo, and the slaw and my family liked them all very well. The only problem I encountered was that the patties fell apart a bit when I turned them. They were sticking to the pan. I attribute both of those things to my use of canned salmon (which broke down when I flaked it, perhaps too much and not using enough oil in my pan. I think you need more than 2 tsp to fry them. Overall, though, I would make them again. I would definitel make the glaze and the mayo and the slaw, even if it was for another Asian inspired meat choice, or a turkey or chicken burger.

I viewed this being made on the food channel and was intrigued. I made it for dinner tonight and it was great. Easy to make and delicious. I didn?t have burger buns and grilled some sour dough bread. It was incredible! The mayo sauce was also great.

What a great way to get fish into your diet. Pretty easy to prepare and taste great. I did think the sauce needed some kick so I added a spoonful of horseradish which "kicked it up a notch". Will make this again soon.
