I skipped the sugar and substituted triple-sec for the brandy. Great for a party - just hubby and me.

The best sangria recipe I've found, especially if you like the extra kick of brandy Recommend making it the night before and letting the alcohol soak into the fruit---yummy with a great buzz!

I have tried a lot of sangria recipes and this one in the best. Great combination of fruit and wine with just enough carbonation.

EXCELENTE! In my time since I went to Spain and had the REAL sangria there, I have NEVER tried something so close to THIS flavor I had there in Spain! Emeril, THANK YOU for this most delicant recipe that with each sip will take me back to that beachside in Barcelona! AWESOME!!

this is *really* easy - made it several times with beaujolais. i like it more fruity and a li'l less strong, so i make it the day before i serve it. i also peel the citrus, because the pith can make the sangria bitter. encourage any novice drinks mixer to try it.
