I love this sangria! I like to put a little bit more of the syrup... I like my drinks sweet!

Saw Emeril's show and went out and bought some Rioja wine which I had never tried before. Finally found some in the section where Sangria and Spanish wines are sold at Publix. Excellent recipe, very flavorful and fruity. Don't put in too much fruit as I did the first time when I could not find small green apples. Don't use California navel oranges--stick with a large juice orange.

We used an inexpensive bottle of Merlot and substituted Grand Marnier with a little orange juice, but it turned out great! Will definitely make again, but next time I think I'll need 2 servings for 4 guests!

Had friend's over and this was a great hit!! I am not sure how they make Sangria in restaurants, but I am guessing not with Grand Marnier. This really adds so much and makes it delicious. I did add a can of club soda just to give it an added fizz. Loved it and will make and drink again.

I added a little more wine than called for in the recipe to make it not as sweet (doubled recipe but added three bottles of wine and it was a huge hit at my tapas party. Even non-wine drinkers had seconds, and thirds!

It was so easy to make. Everyone loved it, even my husband and his friends who don't like the taste of wine. It was a little strong, so I served it over ice. Would definitely make this again!

This was very easy to make and very tasty as well. I made it to go with my spanish themed dinner for my dutch inlaws. They loved it. I did use a merlot, as that is what I had on hand, and it was quite nice. Well definitely make it again soon.
