Served this at a party and two batches was barely enough! I added strawberries to the sangria, and also muddled some additional strawberries and mint in the bottom of each glass before serving. The mint was a great addition. I also used ginger ale instead of the sparkling water because it's what I had on hand and that turned out perfectly.

I made a batch x4 for a party and it was all gone at the end of the night. I used only one bottle of sparkling water for the whole batch. It was great for drinking all night long, not super strong but awesome to drink!

I really thought this sangria was going to knock my socks off.
This was just alright for me. Granted, I didn't have time to let it sit overnight and didn't use a great spanish wine, but I did use Grand Marnier, added a cinnamon stick, and only used 1c. of club soda. I think for me it didn't have a distinctive enough flavor. I did like though that it wasn't too sweet and did pack a punch.

I followed the advice of others and left off the sparkling water. I also halved the sugar and used a nice Spanish red wine. My friends loved, loved, loved this!

We made this while vacationing with friends and it was delicious! We ended up making multiple batches nightly for the duration of the trip. I used two buck chuck Shiraz. Best sangria ever!

I recently made this for a party and I doubled the recipe to make sure I had enough. It was gone INSTANTLY! It was so good and so popular that we ended up trying to make more throughout the night. We just didn't have enough of all ingredients by the end. Like other reviewers, I would definitely cut down the amount of sparkling water. I followed that tip and was so glad I did. If you're making the recipe as is, I'd suggest just 1/4 of the bottle... not much more. If you double the recipe (like I originally did, just half of the water. I promise you, you won't be disappointed!

Had 8 guests over for dessert, coffee and sangria. This batch wasn't close to enough. In fact I quick whipped up another re-using the fruit and forgoing the chilling process and that was emptied pretty quick too. Good stuff. Not too sweet, not too strong. Great drink for a summer gathering on the deck.
