I agree with the previous comment. Amount of sparkling water suggested in the recipe is too much. I actually didn't use it. Instead, i put a few ice cubes in my glass. My husband loved this sangria! We will have to stock up red wine, so we can make more sangria!

Way, way, way too watered down. Would probably be better with about 1/2 the sparkling water.

Note: used Cointreau for Triple Sec, Ravenswood Vintner's Blend Zinfandel for the wine, and diet 7-Up for the sparkling water; excluded the apples (not by choice.
This was such a hit at our first Summer BBQ that we are going to make 10 batches of it for our 4th of July Pig Roast. I have never tasted better, not even at San Francisco's famous Cha Cha Cha restaurant.
