My husband loves this pudding. I have made it for Christmas and Thanksgiving morning for 3 years. Had to bake it into large muffins due to us traveling even better if your like me and like the corners of the baking dish!

This is egg casserole at its best! I have made this at least 6 times in the last couple years, and everyone keeps asking me to make it again. The prep time is more like 45 minutes, but worth every second! Savory, rich, and a mouthful of flavor at every bite. When assembling ingredients you may think that there is no way this will fit in a 9" x 13" baking dish, but it does. Guaranteed success!

I have been making this recipe for a while now. I saw Emeril do it on a Christmas show. He said to use whatever ingredients you like. i.e. ham vs. bacon, Gouda cheese vs. cheddar. Well I did this and my family went wild over it. It is easy to make, which I ususally do the night before and bake it in the morning. Most versitile recipe I ever had.

This is worth the time to make. I make it on Christmas Eve and bake it for our Christmas morning brunch. I pop it in the oven while we open gifts and it is ready for us when we are done. It has definitely become a tradition at our house.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! This is the best recipe I have ever made, it has become a christmas morning tradition in our house. Really easy to make, really easy to adapt to people's tastes. I've made this recipe with sausage, bacon, ham, even leftover turkey, and it's always fantastic! I highly recommend making this christmas eve and baking christmas morning.

Every year we have the same traditional sausage egg dish for Christmas, but this year I opted to try something new. I was a little worried that folks would be disappointed because it wasn't our true and tried recipe. I am happy to report, the family went absolutely crazy for this recipe. All family members suggested that we make this the defacto breakfast dish from now on. I took the advice of the others and more than doubled the pepper, onion, and even a little extra sausage mixture. It was very good! I needed a little more of the breadcrumb mixture to cover the top but that was easily rectified. I recommend adding a pan underneath the dish to catch any drippings so it doesn't smoke up the place...especially if you add the extra sausage.

I love ya Emeril, but this one is a loser! I followed the recipe to a T, but it was just tasteless! Maybe I've been used to more flavorsome food, living in the Southwest, but this was just blah. I wouldn't make it again. The most flavor in this recipe is from the topping, and that's because I used Parmesano-Regianno cheese. It's just not worth the work.
