This ketchup was just amazing, talk about the WOW factor...I added 1 can of tomato paste to it just for a little more thickness and to offset the heat just a tad..it is super delicious and I am actually giving a small jar of it to a friend who loves his heat.

The first time I made this my hubby felt the orange flavor was too much, and not enough kick. The second time I made this ketchup, I added the seeds and veins of the habanero and half of the orange juice and zest. Much better. Great on a burger.

This has so many wonderful flavors working together. We love it. It doesn't taste like ketchup; it's better! Thanks, Emeril, for great recipes and an entertaining show. This recipe is a hit!

The ketchup, true, does not have a traditional taste, but it is delish. Just what I thought it would taste like! I made it twice - used a little less orange zest and a bit larger habanero the second time and it turned out perfect. We bottled it in decorative glass jars and gave it out in an assorted basket for Christmas gifts this year. Try it!

The technique for the fries is great, but the ketchup fails to deliver. The ketchup comes out like a sweet and sour sauce more than a ketchup. Less OJ and more tomato product would help. The "ketchup" makes a unique dipping sauce if you add prepared horshradish, spicy mustard, and mayo. I won't be making this one again.
