What a great dish. I did leave out the additional salt and sometimes use the jalapeno depending on how much spice I want at the time. I added fresh asparagus cooked with a little EVOO and the creole seasoning into the pasta and what a great addition!

My family loves this recipe, even those who usually rebel at anything pasta. The only change I make is to use milk rather than cream and sometimes have to use dried herbs rather than fresh. My grandson says it is the best pasta he has ever eaten.

Wonderful recipe!! Easy to make and enjoyed by all! Used a mixture of Scallops, Shrimp, Halibut and Mussels instead of only shrimp for a full seafood experience!

Pretty much anything with cream and cheese will be tasty, but I did not use near all of the ingredients on the list. My stomach doesnt like jalapenos so i omitted those, and did not use any of the pepper jack cheese, and only half of the fresh grated parm at the end, and only used a cup of cream for the sauce. Also, after reading reviews I used only 1 tablespoon of bayou blast to season the shrimp, and 1/2 tb to season sauce. Never used salt. Did not need it. After omitting half of the things, it still turned out tasty and plenty rich enough without all of the cheese and cream.

This was delicious. A little on the fatty side, I try not to cook things with this much butter and heavy cream, but every once in a while is ok. This took me a lot longer to prep then it said. Maybe I'm slower then the average but pealing all the shrimp and cutting and chopping and so forth took me more like a half hour, maybe a little longer, not 15 min. The dish itself was awesome. Very flavorful, easy to make, and there is enough for leftovers (I was feeding two guys in their mid 20's. Make sure you have a bunch of little bowls or containers to put all the prepped ingredients in to make things easier when your doing your prep and going to cook. This is something I will make again.

Delicious! But I agree with the other reader -- it doesn't need the additional salt. The Creole seasoning, the salted pasta water and the cheeses make it salty enough. :

Love this recipe! I leave out the second addition of salt-you don't need it with the salted pasta water and essence. Also add extra shrimp...it's even better the next day!
