This cake definitely delivers! The only thing I changed was to use fresh blueberries in a blueberry sauce & lemon zest. This is going in my recipe binder for sure! Just can't say enough good things about it! Love it LOVE IT!

Tasty? For sure. My friends loved it but next time less zest will be added.

For the strawberry sauce, I had the same problems with it being too watery if following the instructions given. After making this a few times, here's what I do differently:

    - I cut the strawberries into quarters.

    - I use the juice of the lemon, which ends up being about a half-cup, then add water until it makes a cup of liquid.

    - Cook it for a lot longer than 10 minutes (half-hour or longer, depending on how high the heat is so some of the water evaporates. Just keep cooking until it's just a bit more watery than you'd like--it'll thicken up as it cools. This also makes the flavour of the sauce more intense.

This cheesecake recipe is pretty easy to make. The cheesecake itself is absolutely delicious!! My husband is a huge fan too! I'm making it for my inlaws this weekend and I'm sure it will be a big hit!!

great cheesecake, recipe was very easy to follow but, if you wrap the pan with foil first then pour in the batter it's alot easier

Tried this recipe a few years ago, when I just started getting into cooking and baking. Brought it to the family Christmas dinner...it was devoured! I was so impressed with the flavor and texture, and the family did not believe that it was not bakery purchased. Fantastic Cheesecake...it is so good the strawberry sauce does not do it justice.

Excellent!!! I am a first time cheesecake maker :.D This came out great! For the strawberry sauce the only thing I changed was instead of using water I used the lemon juice from the lemon so as to not waste it. I needed no water and it is SO flavorful!!! Love this and will make again. Def one of the best flavored ones Ive had! Thanks again for a great recipe!!!

The top of my cheesecake ended up a bit brown (caramel color, but it was still amazing! Next time, I'm going to try baking at a slightly lower temp and/or tenting the cake with foil, which should help. Unfortunately, I didn't have bourbon so I left it out. The sauce was great but I didn't have kirsch or brandy on hand, so I substituted with Grand Marnier. Good stuff!
